This past weekend (August 19th 2014) CGRG had it's annual car wash fund raiser, at Advanced Auto Parts in Cape Giradeau MO.
For those that missed it, We had some crazy happenings going on. We had a helicopter for one, which functioned perfectly as an impromptu drying device. There were hot cars, both newer and of the classic variety. There was also some patriotic swimwear. We were rocking the pride of the nation while we cleaned up the grime.
Treblesome and Muse wrangled in would be patrons with inexhaustible enthusiasm, and the rest of us soaped, rinsed, and scrubbed, till every car that rolled our way sparkled like glitter.
It was hard work, but we're used to that. Some would say it was a lot less grueling than a practice run by Molotov. They would of course, not say that out loud.
Still, no matter what we do, we always manage to work in as much fun as we can. Even if we are sitting in soapy water, and scrubbing a bumper.
GGRG would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support this past weekend. As a non profit organization, It takes the support of our fans, and the community as a whole to keep us going. It's thanks to you that we can keep skating, and in our own way, continue giving back to the community that helps support us.
